Ormside Education Centre
is run by Knowsley Enterprise Academy and since its grand reopening in July 2017 has provided around 1000 free educational breaks for schools and groups across the UK.
The current facility can accommodate 32 people. Phase 8 Development Company is working with Knowsley Enterprise Academy to develop a new build extension.
The new extension to Ormside Education Centre, which is set to start construction in late August, has been designed by Phase 8 development Company's in house architectural designer.
The new extension will help make the running of the centre easier and better for Knowsley Enterprise Academy. It will be adding: a drying area; larger kitchen; more dorm rooms; and a disabled suite and all will be accessible.
The new considerate design will be a timber frame structure and clad in locally sourced sandstone the same as the current centre. The roof of the extension will use reconstituted slate tiles, which recycle 60% slate.
